Frequently Asked Questions

  • To make couples counselling more accessible.

Through virtual counselling and after hours and weekend sessions, I hope to remove some of the hurdles that keep couples from making their first appointment.

I understand that virtual counselling may not be for everyone. For those that prefer face to face appointments, I offer an in person day at Glow Clinic Berwick, fortnightly on a Wednesday morning.

  • You’ll need a computer with video and audio capabilities, a good internet connection and a quiet and private room when you both can log in from together on the same screen.

  • After our first session, we can decide whether weekly or fortnightly sessions would be best for you. I generally don’t recommend spacing sessions out more than fortnightly at the beginning of your counselling journey. However, if your circumstances require longer intervals between sessions, we can discuss and find an arrangement that works for you.

In the later stages of counselling, we will phase out and meet less frequently, allowing you to test out the new skills you’ve learnt and prepare for ending your counselling journey.

  • No two couples are the same. The length of your counselling journey will depend on your specific needs and goals.

We will regularly evaluate your progress and satisfaction. I also encourage you to talk to me about any questions or concerns you may have at any time.

I want you to know that this is your counselling journey, and you are free to conclude counselling whenever you wish. Once you decide it’s time to end counselling, it can be helpful to have a final session together to reflect on the progress you’ve made, identify the work that remains and say good-bye.

  • Sessions run for 90 minutes, charged at AUD 210.
